Inclined platform lifts enable a person to be lifted up and down the stairs in their wheelchair, power chair, or scooter. They range in lifting capacity from 450 lbs. to 750 lbs. depending on the manufacturer. Please note that some power chairs can weigh as much as 400 lbs. on their own, so be certain to get a lift with enough capacity for you and your chair. You will need a stairway that is at least 36 inches wide with a landing at the bottom that is at least 6 feet long. Head room is also an issue for IPL’s in many homes so make sure you give us a call for a free in-home evaluation before pursuing a lift of this type.
